This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:

“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.

A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.

A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.

A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.

A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.

You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.

In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.

Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.

Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.

Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.

Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.

Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.

And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.

And you call Greenland badly governed?

Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.

When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?

Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.

Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.

Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.

And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.

You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.

So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.

The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.

Absolutely conclusive that Jonathan Ross killed Renee Good. NYT breakdown of what happened.

He starts out by filming her with a cell phone in his hand. What kind of law enforcement does this? Doesn’t he need his hands for other purposes? If his job is dangerous, wouldn’t he need two hands? Most likely saw that he was dealing with a lone white woman and felt no threat.

Other cars had gone around Renee Good. There was no obstruction of traffic. Ross and his fellow agents seemed like they were taking the opportunity to harass a citizen whose behavior they disapproved of.

Ross then gets in front of the car. Again, you’re not supposed to do that. Nobody has provided any explanation of how this could be justified. All law enforcement who have spoken about this are in agreement.

He likely did not get hit by the car, and if he did it was just barely, and his legs and body were away from the car after he could see she was turning away. It appears that maybe his arm got hit if anything, and that was because he was holding out his cell phone, which again no real cop would do.

And here’s the absolute nail in the coffin: he fires two more shots while he’s clearly off to the side! By this point, the other agent was getting away from the car. Ross just keeps shooting two more times.

None of this even stops the car, but it does kill Renee Good.

Ross first reaction after doing this is to curse the woman he just killed.

Murder. There’s no longer any way to argue anything else.

Donald Trump and his minions are losing their minds again because their malevolent, melon-hued messiah didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The convicted felon.
The adjudicated rapist.
The business fraud.
The pathologically lying insurrectionist who said his own vice president should’ve been hanged is sulking around the White House and Walter Reed,
dragging his ego like a wounded animal, bewildered that the world won’t hand him a trophy for peace.

His toadies are spinning in circles on cable news, faces red, spittle patriotic, confused how the man who worships vengeance, baptizes himself in hate, and eats empathy for breakfast didn’t get a medal for mercy.

You don’t get a Nobel Peace Prize when you mock a disabled reporter.
When you call women “dogs,” “fat pigs,” and “horse-faces.”
When you call entire nations “shithole countries.”
When you say immigrants are “poisoning the blood” of America.

When you laugh about sexual assault and call it “locker-room talk.”

When you tell cops to rough people up and protesters to “get the hell beaten out of them.”
When you promise to pay legal fees for violence committed in your name.

When you call journalists “the enemy of the people.”
When you tell your mob to “fight like hell” while they beat police officers with flagpoles and fire extinguishers.

You don’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for inciting a violent and deadly attack on your own Capitol
to install yourself in an office you lost.

You don’t get a Nobel Peace Prize when you use law enforcement as theater for fascism.
When you send the military into American cities and tell them to “not be so nice.”
When you brag about war crimes because cruelty makes you feel powerful.

You don’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for tearing children from their parents.
For taking babies from cribs and zip-tying them in U-Hauls.
For disappearing human beings in the night, masked and nameless, into black sites that reek of dictatorship.

You don’t get a Nobel Peace Prize when hate is your platform,
revenge is your gospel,
and violence is your love language.

You don’t get one because you don’t deserve one.
Because you never have.
And you never, ever fucking will.

Because for once, you couldn’t strong-arm your way into it.
You couldn’t hustle a country or a committee into giving you what you wanted.
You couldn’t buy it, bribe it, bully it, or steal it.

You can’t grift your way into greatness.
You can’t fake moral worth.
You can’t buy redemption on store credit.

The Nobel Peace Prize still means something in a world you’ve tried to cheapen.
There are still standards—
even if you’ve never abided by a single one.

You can end a thousand wars on paper, but you’ll still be remembered as the man who declared war on his own country.

Because what you’re doing
is burning peace to the ground.

The Nobel Peace Prize isn’t for tyrants or grifters.
It belongs to those who fight for freedom when freedom fights back.

That’s why María Corina Machado won it.
For standing up to dictatorship.
For risking everything to bring democracy back to Venezuela.
For meeting brutality with courage instead of cruelty with cruelty.

That’s who wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
The ones who build peace
while men like you
burn it down.
