I don’t have answers for the cost of healthcare in America. I still don’t know why Lyme treatment other than a 60 day course of oral antibiotics has been blacklisted by the CDC. All this to say- Lyme disease sucks. #LymeDisease #LymeSucks

🧵My Lyme disease is relapsing and despite being chronically ill for 23 years, I never adjust to watching my cognitive abilities decline. It is TERRIFYING. How long will it last this time? Will it be 6 years like last time? 6 years of no driving and no reading? 1/?

After tweeting all this I’ve realized I’ll probably be okay. But??? The only reason I will be okay is bc we can pay for my medical treatment. Millions of Americans can not afford even a copay for medication and thus ration it at the expense of the their health. 8/?
