Big ups to @AmericanAir for stranding my mom in Dublin and somehow loading 3,000 extra pounds of gas onto my 180 flight from O’Hare to Indy in the same day, necessitating a delay twice as long as the flight.

So @AmericanAir stranded my mother and dozens of other people in Dublin with no help and no shelter after their flight had to turn around due to a mechanical problem. Many are elderly, some in wheelchairs.

She said the agents told them they were on their own and left.
