Last week @kwelainitiative kicked off the Artist Development Workshop with the Social Indaba. We discussed a very relevant question: Should artists use controversy as a marketing strategy in 2026?
The room was packed and the dialogue was honest. The perspectives both for and against were very necessary to hear. It was the kind of exchange that reminds us why these conversations matter for the growth of our creative community.
This marked the opening to the Kwela 2026 season and we’re excited to build on this momentum with more programs, workshops and community gatherings proudly partnering with the National Art Gallery in Bulawayo throughout the year.
This is just the beginning. Don’t get left behind 🏁
🎓 Congratulations in Advance Mandazi 🎓
