@nvblair13 For some it could come down to an athlete going D3 (since they don’t have limits) vs retiring. OR I suppose some could take a year off, continue to train, and then try again. But they’d likely burn a year if the 5th year rule goes through
@nvblair13 Yes..prior to roster limits athletes really only had to worry about scholarships. But we’re already hearing that some of these athletes are struggling to find spots period (regardless of scholarship) due to roster limits.

"I had the relationships I wanted. I had the coaching I wanted. I had the academics… I just loved it. And then it just felt more comfortable to me.
"When I was [in Athens], I couldn’t really explain it, but it just felt like I felt relaxed, and I felt like, ‘Okay, this is where I’m meant to be.'"
