1/ The Gandhavati River, once a powerful waterway, played a crucial role in shaping the ancient city of Sisupalgarh, believed to be the capital of Kalinga from the 6th century BC to the 5th century AD. #Sisupalgarh#Odisha
6/ The dialogue continues! Stay tuned for more conversations on Odisha’s past, present, and future at Odisha Manaska. Let’s keep the discussion flowing, just like our rivers should! 🌊✨ #OdishaManaska#SaveOurRivers
1/ On 17th March, All Things Odisha hosted the March session of Odisha Manaska (ଓଡ଼ିଶା ମନସ୍କ) at the ExtraOdinari space in Saheed Nagar. The theme: Dying Rivers, Dying Traditions – Can We Save Odisha's Socio-Cultural Identity Without Saving Its Rivers? 🌊 #OdishaManaska
5/ As rivers fade, so do the traditions they nurtured. The conversation ended with a collective urge to rethink how we engage with our rivers—not just as water bodies, but as cultural and historical entities.
Thanks Sonali&Sambit for giving space for discussion on Rivers at #Her_Space @Odisha_Manaska with young professionals.
Rivers are living beings, citadel of civilization, centre of socio economic, cultural life & ecology.
let's do our best for rejuvenation starting with Gangua.
1/ In the February edition of #OdishaManaska, we explored #love and #identity—specifically, a woman's place in a patriarchal world when taking a stand for love. 🧵👇
4/ Taking a stand for love isn’t the same for men and women. While men are often celebrated for their passion, women face stigma, isolation, and lifelong consequences.
