@bsw5020 I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom to ALS in December of ‘21 and it’s such a devastating way to lose someone. Not that there are “good” ways but my heart truly hurts for you. Sending you so much love.
@ambernoelle I think it’s a reflection of not living in a way that works. We have too much stress just trying to afford the baseline things like health insurance + groceries, there are mass shootings all the time, we work too much, rest too little and connect too often online instead of IRL🤷🏻♀️
@AubK @GlennonDoyle I’m in the sandwich generation. Teenage kids who still need me & aging parents. I lost my mom to ALS at the very end of 2021. Devastating & you don’t get time off from your life to grieve. Now I wake up to texts from my dad and stepdad while I take my oldest on college tours! 🫣
@Theholisticpsyc If you want to know someone’s core values, ask to see their calendar for the last month 😉 People can say anything but how someone spends their time tells the tale!
We can’t go to the bank.
Can’t go to work, to the grocery store, to the airport, to our places of worship, to a farmer’s market, a concert, a nightclub, a dance hall, a movie or a doctor’s office.
Our kids can’t go to a parade, to the mall or to school.
You can’t ring the wrong doorbell, pull down the wrong driveway or accidentally hop in the wrong car, without fear of being shot.
Shot and killed.
In a nation with more guns than people, this has become our reality.
But it is not normal.
And it sure as shit is not ok.
@rainnwilson Okay but my son ran into you at a restaurant last night and you were so nice to him (he’s such a big fan) so I feel like you should have had good karma points today. Sucks it doesn’t work like that. Thanks for being awesome.
@a55afcohen @bessbell Yes tell them you “used to” post from this exact location to Facebook a few years ago and act really excited that this special place is “cool again”
That should do it.
@Theholisticpsyc 💯 experienced this with my dad. He started talking to me at 4 about his difficulties w commitment, his need to be free, the pain he felt because all the women in his life expected him to be faithful. Took me on his dates to meet other women + then home to my stepmom for dinner.
