Diddy Sentencing Update:

The sentencing hearing for U.S. v Sean Combs is underway at district federal court in lower Manhattan

Court began around 9:30 am. Prosecutors say Combs should serve over 11 years; Defense says he should serve no more than 14 months. #DiddyTrial

No victim impact statements will be read today; Diddy’s former assistant who testified under the pseudonym "Mia" bowed out.

Multiple letters in support of Combs have been submitted to the court.

Ahead of sentencing, Diddy’s team released a video and Diddy sent a written plea.

According to CNN, the judge says he ‘doesn’t see a reason to deviate from the sentencing guidelines.’
