I need people to understand how much fan-lore and speculation lore Capcom has been canonizing in Wilds.

Fan speculation for years, and im talking Gamefaqs forum posts, has been that modern Monsters mightve evolved from homunculus war-beasts, akin to how Arkveld turned into a real animal over the course of months.

(One could argue Arkveld is the EDW from old lore)

Monster Hunter fans have been piecing together the lore of the game from the tidbits and scraps that Capcom has given us from mission descriptions to material descriptions.

Floating island system was one of those fan theories from awhile ago.

I want to emphasize for YEARS all weve gotten for lore is scraps, even compared to something like Dark Souls.

It wasnt just Capcom that made this lore now, its also the community thats been dedicated to this game's world since Monster hunter 1, 20 years ago.
