Exclusive Interview: Beyond the Hype – How Lagrange’s ZK Infrastructure Empowers Verifiable AI, Cross-Chain Data, and Scalable Proofs
Lagrange is building an infinite proof layer for Web3 — a decentralized zero-knowledge (ZK) infrastructure capable of providing verifiable proofs for cross-chain data, DeFi, and AI inference. The project’s goal is to scale cryptographic verification and, through its ZK Prover Network, ZK Coprocessor, and DeepProve zkML system, become the core foundation for verifiable AI.
In this Binance News interview, the Lagrange team shares how proof demand drives its token economy, what real-world application scenarios mean for users, and how they plan to take zero-knowledge (ZK) technology from the exploratory stage to a necessary Web3 infrastructure
White House Directs GSA to Add xAI’s Grok Chatbot to AI Vendor List
According to Shenchao TechFlow, the White House has instructed the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to add xAI’s Grok chatbot to its approved AI vendor list. xAI was initially not included in GSA’s approved list in August 2025, which featured OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.
Emails from last week show that GSA leadership asked to restore xAI’s large language models Grok 3 and Grok 4 to the procurement list. Government contractor Carahsoft has also updated its contract to include xAI, and as of August 29, 2025, both Grok versions are available on the GSA Advantage marketplace.
xAI had previously announced Grok versions for U.S. government agencies, but approval was delayed due to the chatbot generating offensive content. There is currently no information on pricing or government discounts for xAI’s services.

Elon Musk Announces AI-Driven Software Company Macrohard
According to BlockBeats, Elon Musk recently announced the formation of a new AI-focused software company named Macrohard under the xAI initiative. Musk described the name as a playful nod, but emphasized the project's authenticity. The concept is to create a software company entirely simulated by AI, drawing inspiration from companies like Microsoft that do not produce physical hardware.
xAI's Grok explained that Macrohard is a tribute to Microsoft, aiming to establish a software company fully operated by AI. The idea is that since companies like Microsoft do not manufacture hardware, AI could theoretically replicate their entire operations, from programming to management. Musk confirmed the project's legitimacy and mentioned that they are currently hiring
Meta Platforms to Restructure AI Division Amid Internal Changes
According to PANews, Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been reorganizing the company's artificial intelligence (AI) operations over the past few months. Now, he plans to take further steps that could intensify internal disruptions within the tech division. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that on Tuesday, Meta is expected to announce the division of its AI department, the Meta Superintelligence Lab, into four distinct groups. One group will focus on AI research, another on a potentially powerful AI known as 'superintelligence,' a third on product development, and the last on infrastructure, including data centers and other AI hardware.
These changes aim to better organize Meta for faster AI product development to compete with other companies. The sources also indicated that some AI executives are anticipated to leave the company. Additionally, Meta is considering an overall reduction in the size of its AI department, which could involve layoffs or transferring employees to other parts of the company, as the department has grown to thousands in recent years. However, discussions are ongoing, and no final decisions have been made.

Trump Considers Breaking Up NVIDIA to Boost AI Competition
According to BlockBeats, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed at an AI summit in Washington that he had seriously considered breaking up NVIDIA to reduce its dominance in the AI chip sector and enhance industry competition. Trump recalled initially thinking, 'We will break up this company,' before learning from briefings that NVIDIA had established a significant technological and ecological advantage that would be difficult to replace in the short term.
Ultimately, Trump acknowledged the complexity of the situation, stating, 'This is not easy.' Notably, he publicly praised NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang during the event, engaging in a dialogue with him. Huang reciprocated by highlighting the unique advantage the U.S. holds with Trump as President. This mutual appreciation suggests Trump's attempt to find a balanced stance between AI regulation and technology giants.

OpenAI Partners with Oracle to Expand 4.5 GW Computing Capacity, Elon Musk Unveils xAI Plan
According to Cointelegraph, OpenAI announced a collaboration with Oracle to expand its computing capacity by 4.5 GW to support future AI development. This plan is part of OpenAI's vision to deploy 10 GW of computing capacity in the U.S., which will increase the Stargate I facility in Abilene, Texas.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that the total development pipeline for Stargate will exceed 5 GW, sufficient to support 2 million AI chips. Elon Musk also announced the xAI plan, aiming to launch 50 million H100 equivalent AI computing units within 5 years.
It is estimated that this will be 500 times the computing power of the strongest AI supercomputer in the world last year. The $500 billion Stargate AI project announced earlier by President Trump is facing challenges due to delays caused by disagreements among partners

Tesla to Hold Shareholder Vote on Potential xAI Investment
According to BlockBeats, Tesla is planning a shareholder vote to decide on a potential investment in xAI, following SpaceX's intention to invest $2 billion in the company. Elon Musk, responding to a post on X, clarified that any decision to support xAI is not solely his to make. Last year, Musk had publicly asked X users whether Tesla should invest $5 billion in xAI, describing it as a tentative inquiry. He emphasized that the decision would require approval from Tesla's board and supporters.
In April, Tesla disclosed that xAI was a client in the previous year,
resulting in $188.3 million in expenses through commercial, consulting, and support agreements. The majority of this transaction, amounting to $191 million, involved xAI purchasing Tesla's utility-scale energy storage batteries, Megapack
OpenAI Requests Investigation into Nonprofit Over Lobbying Allegations
According to BlockBeats, OpenAI has requested that California's political finance regulators investigate a nonprofit organization challenging its multi-billion dollar business plans. The complaint accuses the Coalition for AI Nonprofit Integrity of violating state lobbying laws and raises questions about its connections with Elon Musk.
The complaint, submitted to the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), alleges that the nonprofit may have fabricated the identity of its leader and failed to report lobbying funds related to a now-weakened state bill. This bill could potentially prevent ChatGPT's manufacturer from transitioning into a for-profit entity.
This marks the latest escalation in OpenAI's efforts to pressure the organization. Concurrently, OpenAI is engaged in a legal battle with Elon Musk, who was previously a business partner of OpenAI. Musk opposes the company's restructuring plans aimed at securing funding, arguing that it deviates from its original nonprofit mission to serve the public interest

Competition for talent and resources among major players in the field of AI is becoming increasingly fierce
