Her disapproval has climbed from 44% in February to nearly 59% in May. Inflation hit 524% year-over-year. Over 500 political prisoners remain behind bars.

The U.S. has signed energy deals and reopened direct flights with Caracas under Rodriguez's cooperation. But the constitutional clock is now working against her. How Washington navigates the tension between economic access and democratic legitimacy will shape whether Venezuela stabilizes or slides back into crisis, and whether the investment window stays open.
