@JimmyBroadbent @LucidFrank Why can they not add another lap, happens in BTCC and many other forms. This is ‘the’ most expensive motorsport to watch and they can’t have the adaptability to add a single extra lap to a race in extreme end of the race safety car scenarios?

So many disciplines of motorsport can add extra race laps when a safety car has been deployed.
All of these disciplines have less global exposure, less experienced staff and more importantly charge up to 100% less ticket prices (ignoring tv revenue).
