To celebrate #WorldMusicDay2023 students enjoyed a concert from @LiveMusicNowUK Primary and secondary students loved hearing their favourite songs performed live. 🎸🎶

Spain class explored the rainforest by experimenting with pouring and sieveing gloop. Spain class observed carefully as the rain poured down on the plants and animals! #rainforestexplorers @AbbotsLeaSchool

Spain class went on a minibus trip to see things which effect our environment. We saw factories, cars and aeroplanes which pollute our planet but also saw solar panels and wind farms which help protect it! #saveourplanet 🚗✈️🌏@abbotsleaschool

Spain class blasted off to the moon this afternoon. We grabbed our space boots, our space helmet and our rocket then bounced all the way into space. We used the sound button to shout "Blast Off!" @AbbotsLeaSchool

Canada class are exploring the World Museum today! The students are particularly interested in the Dinosaur fossils as we have learnt all about rocks and fossilisation this term 🪨 🦕 @AbbotsLeaSchool

Italy class visited star command to practice their peer to peer communications! They completed a sensory circuit to their made up story and were going on a planet hunt! They even wore their helmets like baby bear in our story of the week.... Whatever next! @AbbotsLeaSchool

Today, Spain class prepared for blast off with our very own mission control board. We learnt new language and developed our fine motor skills by twisting, pulling, flicking, and turning the latches, buttons, and locks. #finemotorskills #SALT 🛸👽 @AbbotsLeaSchool

In France class this week we have started learning all about sandwiches of the world! Today we learnt sandwiches were invented by the Romans 2000 years ago! We made our own Jam sandwiches.... #yummy #History 🥪🪖🍯 @AbbotsLeaSchool

Today in art, Spain class made spaceships. We used paper plates wrapped in tinfoil, plastic cups, foil cake cases and Pom poms for aliens. We gave the aliens googly eyes and added sparkly sequins for the flashing lights. 🛸👽👾#EQUALS #MyArt @AbbotsLeaSchool

As part of our outdoor learning activities last week, USA Class made bird feeders and hung them on tress in our wonderful school grounds. We are looking forward to going back next week to see if any birds have been nibbling on them! @AbbotsLeaSchool

Portugal class enjoyed a walk in the forest this morning to collect natural resources. We then worked in our groups to use these resources to make our sounds of the week and make words with the sound in! Fantastic Phonics 😊🌱🌿🍁#phonics #outdoorlearningweek @AbbotsLeaSchool
