65 years ago today marks the Malayan Declaration of Independence on 31 August 1957 and 59 years since North Borneo of Malaysia, achieved self governance on 31 August 1963.
Gawai Dayak festival is one of the significant festivals celebrated by the Dayak community. This harvest festival marks the plentiful yield and planning of future prospects. It symbolises unity, aspiration and hope.
