30 أغسطس/آب — اليوم الدولي لضحايا الاختفاء القسري.

وفي هذا العام، يمرّ هذا اليوم وعبدالرحمن يوسف القرضاوي يدخل يومه الـ600 منذ اختطافه وإخفائه قسرًا في الإمارات.

600 يوم بلا خبر، بلا حرية، ولا إجابة عن مصيره ومكانه.

600 يوم من الغياب…
600 يوم من الصمت.

AbdulRahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian poet and Turkish citizen, has been forcibly disappeared in the UAE since January 8, 2025. Despite the length of his detention, no confirmed information is available about his whereabouts, legal status, or conditions of detention. We call for his whereabouts to be disclosed, his safety to be guaranteed, and his immediate release.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my grave concern regarding the enforced disappearance of AbdulRahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian-Turkish poet and Turkish citizen, detained in the UAE since January 8, 2025, following his extradition from Lebanon.

Despite the length of time that has passed, there is still no confirmed public information about his current whereabouts, legal status, or conditions of detention. He is a father of three daughters who continue to await news of his safety and well-being.

I urgently call on the UAE authorities to confirm his safety, disclose his place of detention, ensure his access to his family and legal counsel, and release him without delay.

I urge the Turkish authorities to take immediate and concrete diplomatic action to secure the release of their citizen, ensure his safety and well-being, and facilitate his safe return to Turkey and reunification with his family.

Amnesty International has designated his case an Urgent Action concerning enforced disappearance (UA 13/25).

I respectfully ask that this matter receive your immediate attention and that concrete action be taken without further delay.
