From Patrol to Crime Prevention to Investigations and back, Officer Merlo protected and served the community bringing smiles and public safety through Officer Friendly programs.

He helped bring programs like Cop on the Rooftop, National Night Out, the Torch Run, Crime Free Housing and more to life in our community — and in 2016 PLOWS Council on Aging honored him with an award for his work with our elderly Alsipians.
