So I'm pretty sure my cats are trying to give me a heart attack.
This is playing dead on a next level.... Note: he doesn't move a muscle untill I touch him.
Am I the only person that really thinks a ban for social media for kids under 16 is a really good thing not even just for nights....
No A complete ban.
I booked a front-row concert ticket six months in advance.
It wasn't cheap.
I skipped eating out for weeks to afford it because this was my favorite band.
Ten minutes before the show started, a woman tapped me on the shoulder.
"My daughter is a huge fan," she said. "Would you mind switching seats with her?"
I looked at the seat she was offering.
Last row.
Partially blocked view.
I politely said no.
Immediately, I became the villain
People around us started whispering that I was ruining a little girl's night.
But here's the thing:
Her mother had the same opportunity I did
Buy the ticket early.
Pay for the better seat.
Plan ahead.
I wasn't responsible for fixing someone else's lack of preparation.
@Gonzohall There is no privatizing of the government. IT departments are government organized. So no incentive to Improve as a commercial company would.
This makes the current IT infrastructure while good but one of the most inefficient I've ever seen.
@JeremyClarkson My basic point is: pay £200k for a grid upgrade and you’ll still have ongoing electricity bills every month, or invest that money in some sort of battery plus solar (and maybe wind) power solution and cut your bill significantly.
@JeremyClarkson no clue about the rest of your Pub issues, but electricity ffs... Batteries/Solar? Yes massive cost up front.... but pay 200k to then pay p/m for electricity. Or half of that and free electricity?
It's a no brainer really.
@JeremyClarkson Okay fair, I forgot Wh/m² is low in UK. Generator looks like 50 kVA, oversized? so maybe 40 kVA peak? Ok Too much for full solar. Hybrid with a big battery pack trickle-charged by grid/solar. I doubt a basic setup would exceed £100k, and you'd get at least partial free energy.
I do wonder...
Do people see admitting they're wrong as losing face—or honor? Is that why some keep doubling down on incorrect information even when they know better?
SpaceX IPO today.... I'm going to try and ignore it as much as possible was hoping to buy 1000€ worth.
The only thing I learned, Is you save up.... disaster strikes. The cycle restarts and you never get to invest. 😢
