I find it interesting how certain prospects tend to rise and fall throughout the process despite nothing happening to them. Is prospect fatigue really a thing? Or do media talking heads propagate a false narrative that a player is getting "worse"? #sdsujms416

@trkibby I definitely felt like the Browns were trending in the right direction before this season, it all just did not click for whatever reason. For now, Deshaun Watson is on the team, and it's those types of decisions in my opinion that drives certain fans away. #sdsujms416

I don't really understand why so many teams are fully against Baker Mayfield possibly becoming a starting quarterback. He has definitely shown more than starting QBs out there like Lock and Mariota, yet he is treated like damaged goods. I believe he is still capable. #sdsujms416

The death of Dwayne Haskins, and the subsequent reporting of his failures by NFL reporters, show that many of these journalists have communication problems. At the end of the day, these athletes are human, and they deserve to be treated as such. #sdsuJMS416

@NinaBlanc3 I am excited for baseball to be back and that the lockdown was ultimately resolved. I definitely think that going to a game in person is a unique experience, and this is more interesting to me because the Padres are one of San Diego's only major sports teams left. #sdsujms416

Negative coaching behaviors were an interesting topic. While I do believe that instilling competitiveness is an important for children to learn at a young age, the coach should still be responsible for creating a healthy environment and not go overboard #sdsujms416

@JasonxBuenaflor I definitely agree! I think this shows that sports can definitely highlight some of the most emotional stories in history. Having two storied programs face off against each other in the semifinals should definitely be a treat to watch.

I understand the ability and allure of having a Franchise Quarterback, however, it is irresponsible for an NFL Team to back Deshaun Watson. He is just too much of a liability for PR, and I'm surprised the Browns gave up so much. Time will tell how this will end. #sdsujms416

@HectorIPichardo The Chiefs for sure will still have the advantage simply due to their star power and the ability of Patrick Mahomes. However, I would not count out the Chargers, as they're my dark horse pick next year to make it to the Super Bowl.

NFL Free Agency technically begins tomorrow! I'm excited for the shakeups to occur, especially since many prominent players got released right before the period started. It will be interesting to see how much better teams will get throughout this process #sdsujms416

@HectorIPichardo Tom Brady returning is an epic troll job, in my opinion. Makes me wonder how much of it was manufactured in the beginning. While I will say that his presence is difficult, the league is ultimately much better with him than without. #sdsujms416

The combine has happened this week and I always wonder how much weight these drills are being put into player evaluation. Surely a few workouts on one afternoon can't completely change the results of one whole season of college football. #sdsujms416

@HectorIPichardo It seems like the Lakers are having this weird inconsistency where they are definitely able to go head to head with good teams, but tend to struggle against weaker teams. Hopefully, this string of good games can lift their season before it's too late. #sdsujms416

Yet another player in the NFL (probowler Ali Marpet) retired at a relatively young age (28). I believe that as people start to accumulate more accolades, they are more likely to put their future health over the game. #SDSUJMS416

I would guess that the Broncos are his primary destination, making the AFC West very tough #sdsujms416

Reading the current chapter has made me more aware of the necessity of changing football culture in regards to player health and safety. I think we are starting to see that as players in the NFL are beginning to retire early, and also prioritizing their future lives. #sdsujms416

@alexdavissdsu I agree that the All-Star game has a meaningful connection to the myths we've learned about in class. While making it in the league is legendary in and out of itself, being an All-Star means you are great even among the best, which gives you even more pedigree. #sdsujms416
