M90 era inquieto perché quest'anno faceva troppo caldo per entrare in letargo. In un mondo senza emergenza climatica non sarebbe stato in giro in questo periodo dell'anno e per prima cosa dobbiamo ricordare che il forno intorno a lui, come dire, lo abbiamo acceso noi, non lui. In queste settimane inquiete e calde, in cui ogni parametro del suo mondo noto era saltato, M90 aveva seguito degli escursionisti (senza aggredirli) ed era anche stato investito da un'auto. Ieri abbiamo risposto ai suoi e ai nostri problemi facendolo abbattere dal servizio fauna del Trentino, senza risolvere né i problemi della sua specie, né quelli della nostra. L'unico obiettivo razionale di questa storia difficile tra umani e orsi dovrebbe essere la convivenza a lungo termine, e nell'ottica della convivenza un esemplare estremamente problematico si può anche abbattere, ma su una popolazione di un centinaio di animali abbatterne uno è una catastrofe, dovrebbe essere l'ultima opzione, l'ultimissima, una tragedia di cui ci prendiamo la responsabilità e di cui accettiamo la gravità, invece quello che colpisce è la facilità con cui la Lega in Trentino fa sparare agli orsi, dandogli per altro colpe che sono nostre e non loro, con quell'intolleranza radicale e tribale che è nemica della scienza, prima ancora che degli orsi. M90 è stato abbattuto per quello che è, non per quello che ha fatto. È stato abbattuto per dare un tributo di sangue post elettorale alle persone che hanno votato Fugatti. E c'è una parola per dire tutto questo: sparargli ieri è stato un linciaggio.
