In the song “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette, she describes a guy who’s afraid to fly, then flies and dies in a plane crash. That’s not ironic. What would be ironic is if the guy was afraid to fly, then decides to fly, but on the way to the airport dies in a car crash. Sorry.
