27 of 30 MLS owners said they’re in favor of changing the MLS calendar.
Wonder who the 3 clubs/owners who aren’t in favor of it?
Either way this show how inevitable it is.
The most surprising aspect of the new Leagues Cup format is that only the top four teams from each league will advance.
Wins and goal differential matter more than ever. It’s possible that a team could win all its matches and still miss out on the knockout rounds.
To guarantee advancement, teams must win in regulation and pile on goals whenever possible.

I know it's frustrating for you know for those who are looking for more information. The FIFA Club World Cup is a prime example of why Major League Soccer needs to make serious changes if it wants to truly compete with the world’s best.
To be proud of Miami is one thing, but 30 years of mediocrity should not be celebrated. The raising of the salary cap and the removal of this incompetent commissioner should be the bare minimum. To be so close, yet so far from greatness has become stale.
What’s worse? Hiding your league and Messi behind an Apple TV paywall, or being thrilled with 1 win in 10 matches at the Club World Cup on your own soil. #clubworldcup #mls
Zlatan speaks nothing but the truth. Time for Major League Soccer to raise this salary cap and make this league truly competitive! It’s been 30 years, let’s make our dreams a reality. ⚽️🇺🇸
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Leo Messi didn’t lose, Inter Miami did! Messi is playing with statues, not teammates. He’s surrounded by players who run as if they’re carrying bags of cement!
"If he were in a real team, in any big team, you’d see the real lion. Messi plays only because he loves the game, because he can still do what 99% of players cannot!
"There are no coaches, no stars, not even players who understand how to move without the ball!
"This is not the Messi I know, if you put him in a real team, he’ll still set the stadium on fire!”
