Crazy how much love this received. Insane really.

The funny part? The extremely small group who had something negative to say were exactly who you'd expect.

And for such a supposedly smart group of people, there's a glaring pattern in their responses: an almost stunning inability to actually read what was written.

The article explicitly states that most traders fail, that success requires being in the top percentage, and that the path being hard is a given. It's right there in plain text.

Yet somehow the takeaway from a small crowd is "this guy is telling everyone they can beat the market" and "lottery odds case study."

One guy literally responded with "This guy tries using that argument in favor for everyone to try to beat the market" when the piece says the exact opposite. Multiple times. It's like watching someone argue with a strawman they built themselves.

The other pattern: immediate jump to "course seller" accusations. Nobody's selling anything in this article. I made a free course on YouTube years ago to cover tools. I started a paid community this year after having kids and getting tired of just trading. I'm really proud of it. There are very few like it.

If you don't know better, I'm beyond convincing you now. I've been a doxxed person, sharing my life here for years. If you think a course this past year created any of this, you must be blind and pretty bad at math.

The post is about not letting people who've never done it convince you it can't be done. But critical thinking apparently stops when someone challenges the narrative that retail is dead.

For people who pride themselves on quantitative reasoning, the reading comprehension is surprisingly weak.
