This is a Cerulean paradise flycatcher, one of the rarest birds in the world.

Reporter: Deutsche Presse-Agentur. And the question stands.

Trump: Fake news. Total fake news.

Reporter: The shipping data comes from your own Department of Energy, sir. Are they fake news too?

Trump: Next question.

Reporter: That was the next question.

Seeing Israel—which would never bomb a hospital—bombing more hospitals in Lebanon after destroyed almost all hospitals in Gaza, with total impunity and complete silence from the UN High Commissioner is one of the most sickening things I’ve seen in my fifteen-year career in human rights.

When a missile hits a hospital in Ukraine, it’s a war crime.
When a missile hits a hospital in Iran, it’s a misfired missile.
When a missile hits a hospital in Palestine, it’s human shields.
When a missile hits a hospital in Lebanon, it’s self-defense.

Bombing a hospital is a war crime under international humanitarian law everywhere. International law is not optional that you invoke only when it suits you.

Rescue operations are now underway in various regions of our country following Russian drone strikes. In Sumy, a Russian drone struck near a shopping mall. So far, two people are known to have been killed and fourteen others wounded. A brutal strike on a nine-story apartment building in Kyiv killed one person and injured seven, including two children. The Russians carried out large-scale attacks on Mykolaiv overnight and throughout the morning. Tragically, two people were killed and seven others wounded. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.

Right now, it is important for all partners to focus as much as possible and work on the relevant steps toward de-escalation and an end to the killing. We discussed this both with the U.S. President’s team and with European representatives. If this Russian war continues, all the terrorist attacks and terrorist tactics that Russia is testing in Ukraine – and against which we are seeking and building defenses – could become tools for exerting the same kind of pressure on other countries as well.
