Ha! She isn’t wrong! Kids are very excited for our dance performance this Friday!! Our DanceEd program has been an incredible experience for all of us!! @ugdsb@wcwinegardps
Who wants to make dinner anyways? Please consider this awesome fundraiser on April 16th.
Grateful for our amazing Parent Council for organizing this! @wcwinegardps
Wow! We started adding new words to our Vocabulary tree yesterday! When s’s hear a new word, we look it up and discuss its origins. They love guessing where the word came from so we colour code our words from Latin, Greek, Anglo Saxon, Old English or French. @ugdsb
What a great start! Students loved our segmenting and blending activities! Their favourite was “push the phonemes” where we count the sounds that we hear using play dough before writing the word @ugdsb
Fun Friday vibes with Literacy Centres! Students worked hard to identify vowel teams, read decodable texts and explore Bug Phones on ugcloud.
An awesome start to a fun day! @ugclima
We are rocking our vowel teams! The students love Roll & Read activities as they help us decode words by identifying word patterns and improves our fluency. Lots of a smiles on this snowy day. @ugdsb
Today we learned what to do with the silent ‘e’ when adding ‘ing.” Mr.S then took the stage and taught this to a student who arrived late. It was a great way to solidify learning for all. Way to go, Mr.S!
My reminder for today- never underestimate the power of a word scavenger hunt! I didn’t think possessive plurals could spark such excitement. ❤️ @ugdsb
Today we reviewed adding “s” and “es” to words. We also focused on printing our letters correctly. Students were engaged and applying feedback! Way to go!
