Honest answer, yes. More than at any point in the last decade.
I raised as a founder with none of those four boxes checked. Six months, and the intros I got were luck. The system scored who I knew, not what I built. I write checks now and I still see that bias from the other side of the table every day.
That's the part breaking. When the bar is the company instead of the network, a founder in a city no VC visits gets the same read as one down the street from Sand Hill.

@amitisinvesting The inventory problem is real and will drive prices up to a point where, even if someone is sitting on hundreds of thousands in equity, they won’t be able to afford to sell. I have a 2.125%, with 800K in equity—why would I sell to buy an overpriced home at a 5% interest rate?
