Our new paper unpacks the cognitive dimension of housework - mental load - as a unique driver of gender disparity, relationship discord, and depression, stress, and burnout in women. We quantified mental load using @eve_rodsky's #fairplay system to tease out planning vs execution

Lack of common sense. Belgian development minister Caroline Gennez wants to continue funding Hamas through UNRWA. She is so blinded by electoral considerations that she has lost all critical faculties. 7 countries have already suspended funding by UNRWA including Italy, Finland and the Netherlands. The least Belgium can do is stop immediately with funding and urge the entire European Union, which it currently holds the presidency, to suspend funding to UNRWA as well pending a thorough investigation.
Besides the Belgian presidency is supposed to be neutral because it chairs the EU for the coming six months. The EU should have a common position. Given the seriousness of the accusations, it should at least be possible to suspend the funding. After all, we are talking about European peoples’ money. How can we have so little respect for taxpayers' money and for our European values?
Taxpayers' money must be respected. Don't waste it and especially don't use it to fund terrorism. Is that too much to ask?

“Israel should get out and let the person who started this terrible war, manage the cleanup. And that is the Hamas leader Sinwar. The best way to destroy Sinwar is for Israel to leave Gaza and make him come out of his tunnel, face his people and the world” https://t.co/9MHs5YxoSv
Together with women around the world, we say no to rape. Remember. The body of Shani Louk on the lorry, with these horrible Hamas men spitting on her and shouting Allahu Akbar, is the most horrible thing. As a woman, as a mother, as a human being and a politician, I felt a deep disgust when I heard the silence of so many powerful people after these October 7 crimes.
The crime of these girls in Hamas eyes? Existing. Being Jewish, going to a festival. Shani Louk was young, she wanted to enjoy her life. Instead her life ended in the hands of Hamas. She was thrown onto this lorry, and we saw Hamas men dragging her half-naked with this lorry around and spitting on her, shouting “Allah Akbar”. For me, this image is worth more than 1,000 investigations, this image is stronger than 1,000 words, this image says it all. She and all others were someone’s daughters. How could the world let them down?
Anyone who isn’t outraged and doesn’t stand up to what we’ve seen, frankly I don’t know whether that person deserves to be called a feminist or a humanist, but it’s a betrayal. It’s a betrayal of the cause of women and it’s a betrayal of all Jews, its a betrayal of humanity.
For all the women and girls I joined forces with other women around the world to call for justice. This is our message.
For the hostages to return home. For justice. Stop rape. Bring the rapists to justice. #UnitedWeStand
The presidents of @Harvard, @MIT, and @Penn were all asked the following question under oath at today’s congressional hearing on antisemitism:
Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate [your university’s] code of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment?
The answers they gave reflect the profound moral bankruptcy of Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth.
Representative @EliseStefanik was so shocked with the answers that she asked each of them the same question over and over again, and they gave the same answers over and over again.
In short, they said:
It ‘depends on the context’ and ‘whether the speech turns into conduct,’ that is, actually killing Jews.
This could be the most extraordinary testimony ever elicited in the Congress, certainly on the topic of genocide, which to remind us all is:
“the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group”
The presidents’ answers reflect the profound educational, moral and ethical failures that pervade certain of our elite educational institutions due in large part to their failed leadership.
Don’t take my word for it.
You must watch the following three minutes. By the end, you will be where I am.
They must all resign in disgrace.
If a CEO of one of our companies gave a similar answer, he or she would be toast within the hour.
Why has antisemitism exploded on campus and around the world?
Because of leaders like Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth who believe genocide depends on the context.
To think that these are the leaders of Ivy League institutions that are charged with the responsibility to educate our best and brightest.
On the bright side, our congressional leaders deserve accolades for showing tremendous leadership and moral clarity in their statements, by the questions they asked, and the respectfulness with which they conducted the hearing.
It was a masterclass of how our government and democracy should operate.
If you have time, please watch the entire hearing. Throughout the hearing, the three behaved like hostile witnesses, exhibiting a profound disdain for the Congress with their smiles and smirks, and their outright refusal to answer basic questions with a yes or no answer.
