I had the privilege of presenting my first podium presentation at @NoPacSurgical This would not have been possible without @VNikolian. I am extremely thankful & honored to be a part of his STAR lab, and to have Dr. Nikolian as a mentor and leader for all ⭐️ #OHSUHernia#HeForShe
Congrats to @AbbyShettig on her #ACSCC22 presentation! Geriatric patients are often considered to be poor candidates for telemedicine care, but when surveyed, really appreciate it. PDs, definitely keep an eye for her #gensurgmatch2023 application! #OHSUHernia

Content Warning; death of a child.
I wanted to share about the single most salient experience I had deciding who I was as a physician from directly observing an attending. Tragically, it involved the death of a pediatric patient; a child about 18 months old.

As always this was fun and educational. Congrats to all the resident presenters.
If you are at a residency program, you should join…. Amazing discussions from world class abdominal wall surgeons.
It is an honor to have such a fierce and humble woman leading the way. Working alongside Dr. Tsikitis is an absolutely incredible experience, and I am so blessed to be a part of her team. @tsikitis you truly inspire me every day. Thank you for all that you do!
Common assumption related to telemedicine are that patients in rural setting will not derive benefits or successfully use technology for medical services. A review of our experience at #OHSUHernia. Proud of @j_bray & team. https://t.co/1jsKdtsQgL @acsJACS @OHSUsurgery
After reviewing a bunch of pre-med personal statements lately, I figured I'd make a thread for all the pre-meds out there still working on theirs. PS Dos and Don'ts: A THREAD!🧵
