Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools

I am a mother of three children that attend Hamilton Local and a special education teacher in SWCS. I was elected to serve on the school board in Nov. 2017.

@GovMikeDeWine @OHdeptofhealth @OHEducation If Franklin county goes purple, are schools still going to have to worry about how to get students in for AIR graduation test retakes during the Dec. testing window? What if we stay red but need to go remote due to staffing/case counts?

[Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools @AmberLocal]

Absolutely not!

[Elyria Jablo @elyriajablo]

Let’s check it out. Should students be required to go into classrooms to take standardized tests during a global pandemic? I encourage you to comment as well.

[Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools @AmberLocal]

@GovMikeDeWine it is ridiculous that my school must waste our in-person learning days on state testing. Even worse is that we must require students that chose the virtual option (some because they or a family member are considered high risk) to come to school just to test. #SB358

[Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools @AmberLocal]

What is the status of SB 358 that had its 3rd hearing in the Ed committee on 9/23? This is URGENT! We need this bill passed before the window for the 3rd grade reading test opens! @TinaMaharath @peggylehner

[Ohio School Boards @OHschoolboards]

OSBA continues to work with @OHEducation and @OHdeptofhealth to ensure school districts have the most up-to-date information on the coronavirus. We have compiled resources at https://t.co/59MNri3LWk #OhioEd #coronavirus

[BrickerEdLaw @BrickerEdLaw]

In light of Gov. DeWine’s order closing #OhioEd schools through April 3, we are working on putting together additional information on issues schools should consider. More to follow tomorrow...

@peggylehner @TinaMaharath @teresa_fedor Why is there still no hearing scheduled for HB 154? This BIPARTISAN bill has been hijacked, and now stalled, when the original bill should have already been passed out of committee and sent to the floor! @Miller4Ohio #WhereIsHB154

It's was a great morning for Ranger volleyball! #GoRangers #RangerStrong @HTVolleyball

[Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools @AmberLocal]

Keep the language from HB 154 in the budget or pass it as a clean bill. None of this School Transformation Plan BS! #OHsenate #RepealHB70

[Amber Clark for Hamilton Local Schools @AmberLocal]

This is an absolutely unacceptable use of taxpayer dollars. Schools should be for students NOT for profit. Please don't allow this crap our of the Senate Ed Committee @TinaMaharath

Thank you Representative Russo and Representative Lightbody! It is great to have representatives that listen to educators and fight for what's best for kids!

[Allison Russo @Russo4Ohio]

Loved meeting with these education champions in my office this morning. Thank you for all you do for Ohio’s kids! @MaryLightbody @CentralOEANEA
