There are many narratives that drive Solana but one of the most consistent is that it's a developer dream:
- low latency
- high throughput
- cheap fees
Things that are missing:
- easier program interoperability
- easier reading program state
- better tooling
Here a three things Solana Beach will ship to help out:
- overhauled API (V3) providing comprehensive validator information (Q1 2026)
- Expiremental Solana Beach CLI to query network information efficiently and conveniently (Q2 2026)
- Unified Interfaces mapping similiar instructions and accounts from different programs to a unified read interface (Q2 2026 ongoing)
Solana Beach will always remain free of advertisement and free or charge.
The goal from 2026->2030 is to strip our economy of rent seekers.
Why? Because we drop inflation, increase profits, lower cost of living, remove all intermediaries between you and your money which is your time and life energy.
You were taught to believe you needed help. Technology has changed this. You don’t need anyone between your production and the goods and services you need.
Here's our feedback on SIMD-0326 Alpenglow:
We strongly support moving forward with Alpenglow and will vote "Yes" in the upcoming vote.
However a future Solana engineer browsing the SIMD repository will find little value in this SIMD. Here's a proposal on how to improve:
- make the SIMD a work-in-progress SIMD that collects links to future Alpenglow proposals together with an overview and advice on how to best read them.
- the SIMD will be merged once Alpenglow is in production and all other proposals have been merged.
Then this SIMD with its prominent title will be a good starting point for future implementers.
