@DementiaUK Make portions small - large plates of food can be scary.
Keep meals colourful and full of flavours as tastes change too either dementia.
A little often can be more acceptable than one big dinner.
@st_ua_rt@ClaireCraig_PT I would say never just stop an antidepressant! I was told to half the dose for a month (ie take a tablet every second day), then every 3rd day for another month, then 4 days apart for another month- so taking 3 months to ease off. And it worked perfectly for me.
@elaineahpmh@chr1stopherleo@AhpDementia Congratulations on your new post & all the best for your next venture. Sad day for NDCAN & SDWG- weβll all miss you. Itβs been a pleasure to attend many meetings and conferences with you, Chris. π
@NicolaSturgeon@Glasgow_Times 4/β¦ I had 4 cats and chose to put 2 out of their misery when so ill. The first had kidney failure, the 2nd untreatable cancerβ¦. I could end their suffering yet had to just watch and wait for my husband and sister die slowly. I wish I was an animal with a compassionate owner.
@NicolaSturgeon@Glasgow_Times β¦3/ β¦dying with no one around her. She would have travelled to Switzerland if covid hadnβt stopped her. She was living with COPD, oxygen at home, and hated her life but she had no choice. She had capacity so chose to get Covid to die, but it was horrible death.
