כ-20,000 פצועים חדשים מהמלחמה נקלטו בשנתיים האחרונות באגף השיקום במשרד הביטחון - שם מעריכים כי עד שנת 2028 יגיע מספר נכי צה״ל ל-100,000. מתוך כלל מטופלי האגף - כ-70% כבר הוכרו רשמית כנכי צה״ל, והיתר עדיין נמצאים בתהליכי ההכרה והוועדות הרפואיות.

55% מהפצועים - עם תגובות נפשיות מסוגים שונים, כולל פוסט טראומה.
במשרד הביטחון מצביעים על אתגר עצום בטיפול במתמודדי הנפש: רק 48% ממתמודדי הנפש חזרו לעבודה לאחר הפציעה, לעומת 67% מהפצועים הפיזיים.
ישנו מחסור גדול במטפלים - בעיקר בפריפריה, גם במטפלים שהם עובדי אגף השיקום וגם במטפלים חיצוניים. זמן המתנה ממוצע לתור לפסיכיאטר היום הוא 3-4 חודשים לפחות.

באגף השיקום סובלים מתת איוש משמעותי: היחס כיום בין מטופל למטפל באגף השיקום הוא 1 ל-750. למרות שבמהלך המלחמה גויסו לא��ף כ-3,000 מטפלים חדשים, הפערים עדיין עצומים והאגף מתקשה לעמוד בעומסי הפניות אליו.

אחד האתגרים המשמעותיים שמסמנים כעת במשרד הביטחון לקראת ההמשך: הוועדות הרפואיות לקביעת ההכרה ואחוזי הנכות. במשרד אומרים - ״אנחנו נערכים לאירוע הזה, זה אתגר גדול מאוד. יהיה פה משבר אמון מאוד גדול, כי צריכים לבצע ׳שמאות׳ לפצועי צה״ל״.

לקראת חגי תשרי, אומרים באגף השיקום כי מדובר בתקופה רגישה - שדורשת ערנות והתגייסות חברתית. באגף מזכירים כי קו התמיכה והסיוע ״נפש אחת״ זמין לכל הפצועים ובני משפחותיהם 24/7, במספר *8944.

Israel just bombed a hospital, then murdered the journalists covering the hospital bombing on live TV.

Mohammad Salama, Hossam Al-Masri, Muath Abu Taha, and Maryam Abu Daqqa worked for Aljazeera, Reuters, NBC, and the Independent.

What a mockery this genocidal machine has made of the world. Israel has shown it can gas people to death, annihilate them, and then kill the journalists covering that annihilation with zero consequences.
