Great leaders are relentlessly optimistic.

Where others see problems, they see opportunities.

Our brain is prone to think negative; flip the script and choose to see things from a relentlessly optimistic point of view.

[Ball is Psych @BallisPsych]

Discipline is more important than motivation.

If you only work hard when you’re “in the mood” you’ll never be great.

Stick to your commitments, even when it gets hard.

“The vision of a champion is someone who is bent over,

drenched in sweat,

at the point of exhaustion,

when no one else is watching.”

Your character will last far longer than your basketball career.

If you want to make the most out of your career, don’t just make it about the results; be intentional about using the game to build your character.

Character first, results second.

Take care of your character and your reputation will take care of itself.

Take of your work ethic and the scoreboard will take care of itself.

Take care of your relationships and your standards, and your culture will take care of itself.

Character first, results second.
