@HunterBiden@Kenneth_Belkin One day maybe we'll meet at the Charcoal Pit and I'll tell you about the time my dad ran against your dad and how much stepmothers suck.
Listen, buddy, you are straight out of a Brett Easton Ellis novel so "man of the people" is probably going to be a hard sell. But look, I'm still going to love ya because you and I went probably passed each other at Pulsations and the Christiana mall. That's something that may give you a shred of street cred.
I don't think people realize what they say to you when there is a chance that your child will have Down's syndrome. They tell you they have no idea how bad it will be. They tell you it's completely a roll of the dice. They tell you may have a sweet and slightly cognitively disabled child or you could have a non-verbal dependent extremely disabled adult which you are going to die on and there will be no one to care for them. (Because Down's comes with older mothers, you are already old.) They will tell you that it's "not like autism" where there's oodles of money to support you and you may wind up on your own. You look down a barrel of of a gun of a life and it does make you question every choice you have ever made. I'm a "damn the torpedoes" type of gal, but not everyone is that and I don't blame them. I just got lucky and I probably won't get lucky again.
Tell your kids to have their kids young. There's plenty of time to do the other stuff later and it's better because now you are old enough to know better.
Yes, absolutely. When Jonathon "Jessica" Yaniv was shaking down all those poor, immigrant brown women, not a single legal feminist NGO lifted a finger to help them. Not West Coast LEAF, not Atira, no one. It was men from Alberta who finally stepped in. I don't know how many times I have to say this: MEN who think they are WOMEN are DANGEROUS. There is something seriously, seriously wrong with them. I may be fine with the drag queen that has a show at the local gay bar, fine. There's a whole Parthenon of men who dress in women's clothes. They aren't *all* dangerous, you just don't know which ones it will be and we need to stop pretending that the ones that want access to women's bathrooms and change rooms and medals and trophies and prize money and who will beat them to a pulp in the octagon aren't by default.
Helen Andrews made a bold point:
The more women dominate the legal system, the more justice risks becoming emotional storytelling and compassion theater instead of cold, neutral due process.
She points to Title IX campus courts and some MeToo cases where feelings and narratives often overrode evidence and procedure.
This is a sensitive but important conversation about how demographic shifts quietly reshape institutions. When emotion and group protection replace impartial rules, the rule of law weakens, and public safety eventually pays the price.
Do you think the growing feminization of law and other institutions is changing how justice is applied?
I think you misunderstand me. I don't think it matters if the jury knows about the online stuff or not. In fact, it's probably better for Ben if they don't. However, this story gets bigger by the day. It's already getting picked up by the non-influencer ecosystem and for the lawyer youtuber environment it's a story with EVERYTHING. A big bad corporation, sympathetic victim, a complex contract disputes, a charismatic kid, the Mormons, corrupt cops, flights to Mexico...I mean for legal stories it's an act of journalistic negligence *not* to cover it. It will break containment and in about a week we are going to be seeing it on CNN at this rate.
IDK what you mean about illegal...I'm saying that Ben is entitled, under 1A principles to have an opinion, even if it's wrong. To be considered defamed, you would have to say that Ben is saying something factually untrue AS A FACT, not as his personal opinion, and he KNOWS it's not a fact and BAM can prove he knows it. The only way they could do that is by showing where they sat down and showed Ben as Brian's agent that he was factually wrong. Instead, they just kicked him out and had him *(and Brian) charged with trespass. They completely (legally) gut shot themselves and that's what the jury is going to see. American juries aren't inclined to just assume things about 1A so they aren't going to be so cynical that they will give BAM benefit of the doubt here. They are going to hold the company to strict proof and BAM doesn't seem to have it. They already are trying to settle with Brian, who they shouldn't have sued to begin with because they have zero grounds. The pleading is a mess. They can't win.
@BurasValer4153@Variety Please, this is every episode of Stargate:
Col O'Neill: We should end those mofos
Daniel: NOOOOOO. THIS IS WRONG!
*O'Neill hesitates, Replicators everywhere, someone gets possessed by the Goauld, Everyone has to shoot their way out*
🇨🇦🧠🦅💰 : Mark Carney says Canada will build new data centers in full partnership with indigenous peoples.
Why would Canada need to do that? Are indigenous people now Ai & data storage experts compared to the general population?
This limits who can get contracts for building and maintaining these data centers, by using indigenous contracts as gatekeepers.
This is designed to prevent most Canadians from being able to apply for a data center contracts.
22 yrs ago today, after a long zoning dispute with local officials that ruined his business, welder Marvin Heemeyer had enough & created the Killdozer.
He destroyed the mayor’s house, the judge’s house, town hall, the police station, & the bank - while avoiding hurting civilians or their property.
Happy Killdozer Day to those who celebrate 🎊
The Carney paradox — as Canada swirls down the drain, his popularity goes through the roof.
Has 'elbows up' gone to our heads? asks Kelly McParland https://t.co/tlj59Yfyyt
@calebdollar@IanRunkle I don't think it matters. And I hadn't heard about any of this a few days ago. If it keeps going,by the time we get to any trial, it likely will break containment. Americans are allergic to limiting speech in almost all cases.
Ottawa plans to spend $93 billion a year on a Universal Basic Income while the country sinks deeper into debt and inflation.
Canada is walking the same road that led Venezuela to ruin.
Alberta must separate to protect our wealth, resources, and way of life.
They didn't "craft" anything. They cut a deal with the USA and now they have to fight their own wars. But they still have access to the American market so it doesn't matter. They are just slightly less grifty than they were before.
REPORTER: Do you think Canadians blame Carney or Trump for the recession?
POILIEVRE: You mean the fact that we're the ONLY country in the G7 that's in a recession? 🤨
REPORTER: Yes. 🤡
Proof that TDS either stems from low IQ or causes low IQ.
Liberal Woke tards have absolutely ruined cinema to the point where I would prefer to make my own movie with AI versus watch what’s coming out in theaters it’ll probably be cheaper too
WOW!
