🚨🚨| BREAKING: Bundesliga club Mainz 05 LOST their appeal against a court ruling ordering them to pay former player Anwar El Ghazi €1.5 million for unfair dismissal.

El Ghazi was sacked in November 2023 after posting about the Israel-Gaza war on social media.

He was first suspended in October for a pro-Palestinian post deemed “unacceptable” by the club, then reinstated after showing “remorse.” However, after later saying he did not “regret” his comments, Mainz terminated his contract.
