The Karnataka State Government has been dragging its feet on promoting children who have completed Kindergarten, to Grade 1, as they maybe a few days short of being 6 years. Several other states have long ago taken an empathetic position providing relief to students and parents.

NET made it compulsory to make 6yrs by sept for admission into standard 1st. Students already in KG classes need to be exemped from this rule for two years. Only new student desirous to be admitted in class 1 may follow this rule. But 6 yearsby March 31st.instezd of September.

@siddaramaiah we parents who are having their kids to repeat a year in school, request you to relax the class 1 admission date for 1 more year. A lot of kids had started nursery in school while the old rule was in effect. Please look into this at priority and help the kids
