Anti-abortion is not pro-life. Anyone who thinks differently is kidding themselves. Where are you when the kid’s born to someone who can’t financially/emotionally/physically care for it?
You can't "ruin" food by adding fat to it. Dressing doesn't ruin the salad, you're still eating vegetables. Sour cream doesn't ruin a potato. The nutrients are all still there (some absorb better when eaten w/ fat!) "Ruining nutritious food" by adding fat is a diet culture lie.
say what you will about stephenie meyer’s writing, but I’ve never seen a portrayal of depression as accurate as those blank pages with nothing but the names of the months on them
So to paraphrase: 1/5 of men are unable to have consensual sex so violence against women is rising and the solution is to… give men the right to have sex? Internalize misogyny is real, folks.
We need to bring these discussions to the spotlight. Normalizing healthy positive sex will have too many downstream benefits to list – we need to move past our history of shame. It’s time to bring sex into the light.
There's just no appreciation for how *polite* women have been while being told we're basically walking holes/ideas in men's heads. We should explode with rage but no, we write careful, erudite little thinkpieces explaining why that's incorrect, then get told we're evil anyway.
When MG Donahoe publicly defended military women in response to criticism from *fox news*, I was thrilled. The CG of FORT BENNING was taking a stand. You couldn’t ask for a better voice. But this… is disgusting and very telling on how the army actually feels about women.
A year ago I was still recovering from hip surgery and the thought of deadlifting anything was unimaginable… today I’m deadlifting 2 plates and couldn’t be more proud of my progress :,)
Politicians are so silly and human. I can’t imagine attaching my identity to defending one person who has surely made mistakes. I’d much rather defend ideas.
Fort Moore is way more badass than Benning and actually honors that installation’s history. I’m super excited to see these changes. (Also shoutout to a fellow Pi Phi, Julia Moore, wife of LTG Hal Moore)
The Naming Commission charged with renaming military installations with Confederate-linked names is speaking with reporters now. They say they have "exciting news" to share. Follow this 🧵 for more.
