Prior to this, students presented on their original research in English, French, eloquently summarizing their work on topics ranging from local participation in mining and transparency to the proper use of fiscal incentives.
The LRT Team underscored the essential presence of Africa’s youth as part of the continent’s sustainable development and exhorted the students not only to continue working hard but also to dream big and stay engaged with the sector | #AMLA2018
Earlier today, the ALSF secretariat Team held a post-workshop Assessment for #AMLA2018 Participants. It was an engaging session where the students had the opportunity to share the knowledge they gathered from the past week.
Mrs. Gokce Mete, yesterday presented the @ExtractivesHub to #AMLA2018 Participants. She was also at the workshop for the Project Implementation Consortium meeting in Kigali, Rwanda on behalf of @CEPMLP to provide peer-review.
The Students were divided in groups , representing the following 3 stakeholders each (Mining Company, Government and Civil Society Organisations). The first part was on environmental issues in Mining, followed by a discussion in Fiscal Terms in Mining Agreements. #AMLA2018
