MYTH: Nudism Is Inherently Sexual
FACT: That is one of the biggest misconceptions about nudism. In reality, social nudism is based on body acceptance, personal freedom, respect, and a connection with nature, not sexual activity. Most nudists will tell you that after a short time, the novelty of seeing people without clothes disappears, and what remains is simply people enjoying life without the barriers and judgments often associated with appearance.
Nudist resorts, clubs, beaches, and organizations have rules that promote respectful behavior and discourage inappropriate conduct. The focus is on community, relaxation, recreation, and acceptance, not sexuality.
In fact, many nudists describe the experience as freeing because it helps them let go of body shame, unrealistic standards, and the fear of being judged.
Nudism isn't about sex.
It's about freedom, authenticity, and being comfortable in your own skin.
Now you know.

Toni Egbert: Nudity bans are a form of body shaming codified into law. Legalising non-sexual nudity would affirm the dignity of the human form and dismantle puritanical restrictions.
