ज्या दिवशी काँग्रेसच्या उमेदवारांनी फॉर्म भरला, त्याच दिवशी आम्ही सांगितले होते की काँग्रेसचा उमेदवार राहणार नाही, तो पळून जाईल ; आणि पुढे तसेच झाले.

ही निवडणूक विचारधारेची होती; पण काँग्रेस आम्हाला पाठिंबा देण्याच्या वेळी जिल्ह्याला सांगितले, जिल्ह्याने परत प्रदेश कमिटीला सांगितले, नंतर नगरसेवक निर्णय घेतील असे सांगितले, मग गटनेते निर्णय घेतील असे म्हटले, आणि शेवटच्या दिवशी मतदानच करू नका असे सांगितले. काँग्रेसचे हे गुंतागुंतीचे राजकारण सर्वांनी पाहिले.
