Hot day, so homemade smoothies for lunch. These have Greek yogurt, milk, rolled oats and mimi chocolate chips. The berries are from the downstairs freezer, picked on a prior year from our vines. Fresh picked berries always have the best flavor.

I remembered to polish my black boots this morning! The toes were badly scuffed. (I have a funeral to attend on Thursday.) I never remember until it’s almost time to leave. Then my choices are to wear them scuffed or to have traces of polish on my hands when I leave.

@Emmett_dog I’m all for resoling and repair! Have I guy I love with reasonable rates. He even repaired the leather band for my medical ID. The second loop came off. He made me a new one, better than the original.

Kiernan’s right eye is completely healed! The ulcer in the left eye is much better. Another week and a bit in the donut but at least the drops and dreaded salve only go in one eye now. Everyone at the vet’s cooed over him, naturally.

Made a ginormous quinoa salad, it’s chilling in the fridge. No chickpeas so opted for black beans and local corn. Chopped all the veggies into noticeably larger pieces. I had planned on cooking less quinoa but that would have left only half a cup in the bag. #LeftoversGalore

It was hound day at the vet. Kiernan, the howliest chocolate beagle ever and an athletic looking basset/beagle mix were all in the lobby together. Noses were sniffed!

Forgot to post this last week. One of my very best friends was in town so we went to the old high school hangout. I don’t think I’ve mini golfed here since my early 20’s. Naturally we played the dragon course. What’s the point, otherwise. The 🐉 is epic.
