Darkness whispers, "You're undone,"
But a flicker fights, beneath the sun.
Shadows grip, a heavy chain,
Yet strength remains, through mental rain.
Each breath a war, each step a climb,
To break the hold, and conquer time.
Scars remain, a testament,
I rise again, and circumvent.
The worst part was the constant "which side should I take?" drama. Like, I'm not your moral compass or your therapist. I'm tired of being the sounding board for everyone else's problems.
So, let the pain flow through my veins,
For in this hurt, true strength remains,
I'll mend the pieces, one by one,
And in time, a new love will be spun.
In shadows deep, where sorrow breeds,
A wounded heart, where pain proceeds,
I pen these lines of love's demise,
Of shattered dreams and tear-filled skies.
I'll find solace in the healing balm,
Of self-love's touch, a soothing calm,
I'll learn to love anew, and trust again,
For heartbreak's lessons, they won't be in vain.
