@championswimmer I agree with you; not every use case needs decentralization. Not every piece of data needs to be stored on the blockchain. People building social apps on blockchain blows my mind. Why and how does storing the volume of social data generated daily on blockchain make any sense.

It's possible to still be connected to the world and use technology without losing control over conscious and unconscious user-generated data.

Blockchain is based on a decentralized network. Decentralization is not blockchain. Not every use case needs to be stored on the blockchain; thus, not every web3 project needs a blockchain.
