After analyzing my favorite #museum twitter accounts (@TheMERL and @SUEtheTrex), I can only assume the 2 keys to twitter success are a genuine sense of engagement with followers and....a fondness for ham?
Queer Newark now has a podcast on iTunes! Hosted by @ykristyn, it will include a mix of interviews with LGBTQ community members, academics, & students. Find out why Newark's LGBTQ history matters & how public history projects can combat queer erasure! https://t.co/Qps4LaICtx
I tend to be a skeptical person, but this seems like a step in the right direction? It will be interesting to follow this and see what comes of it. I’m new to this field, but has someone this high in the government ever advocated for this before?
New report commissioned by Pres Macron recommends that France return all collections forcibly removed from Africa during the colonial period https://t.co/LU2EzpKpzV #repatriation#decolonization
Why you can’t take me nice places: while at the Painting the Floating World exhibit at @artinstitutechi, I proceeded to find all the animals in paintings and go “puppies! Kittens!”
I couldn’t find a label for #museum30 I liked at work, but I’m visiting family for Thanksgiving and at the @artinstitutechi, and love the label for this person in the crèche: “cheese”
Trying to pick a favorite object for #museum30 was hard, but I am utterly fascinated by this absurd chair. I think it is incredibly ugly, but I love it for the sheer weirdness of it! It is also well situated within all these paintings.
I often bus to work, but when I drive my #museum30 journey to work includes parking in a lot with these cool murals that were projects with the community!

Spending my break running around the museum trying to get a stash of photos for #museum30 because I’m so far behind! I’m kind of doing this at my own pace, and that’s ok!
As a visitor experience person in a #museum, my work space is all over (phones, lobby, etc). Today I collected audio guides, which meant my neighbors were these gorgeous #sunkencities statues. Plus, the VE office often has snacks, like these @GlamDollDonuts! #museum30
Hey New York people, you should go to this! If I wasn’t an 18 hour drive away, I would go (and not even just for the free snacks, but also for the excellent discussion that is sure to happen!)
