Amplify Youth Group

We work with young people from Ormskirk, based at St Anne's Parocial Centre, helping them achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold.

An amazing contribution to the local communities by our participants. Well done to them all and to all those volunteering @dofeuk @volunteerworld_com #volunteersweek #volunteer #dofe #dukeofedinburgh #amazing @sbchs1957

Our group of golds taking the challenge of walking around Langdale. Over their four days they have covered quite a few kilometers, climbed quite a few hills and made lots of memories.

@elonmusk how effective would your #starlink be for expedition teams in remote areas of the uk and the world? Would it be useful as a tracker for young people during their duke of Edinburgh award expeditions?

[Amplify Youth Group @Amplifyormskirk]

Thank you to @ArnoldClark for donating £1000 to the youth group from their community fund. This money will help immensely with helping young people achieve life skills and to have fun. #arnoldclarkecommunityfund #ThankYou

So many memories being made this weekend as 24 young people have fun with their Bronze DofE practice. Day one was fun with rain and heavy rucksacks but they got on with it and even smiled!

@OEXOutdoors can you buy a spare pole?

[Mike @mikepriceme]

@OEXOutdoors we bought 15 of the phoxx llv2 tents to allow @Amplifyormskirk to manage expeditions during Covid last year, sadly we didn’t get to use them, but we have just started to get them out to start training and one of the poles is broken, can we purchase a spare pole? #thx

Some pupils from @stbedes1957 are working on their Silver Award for @DofE and helping out around the grounds of St Anne’s church for their volunteering.
Fr Godric awarded them their Bronze Awards. Thx to @bluesparklabs & @DofENorth for their help

Had a great week doing #dofewithadifference practice expeditions with two groups of Silver and two groups of Gold. All got on with the awful weather and kept smiles on their faces. They will have no problem with their qualifiers once we can get them out. @DofE @DofENorth

Two groups of Silver @DofE groups taking part in a practice. Weather not great but warm beds tonight! #silver #dofe #westlancs

Had loads of fun this weekend helping four teams of Bronze #dofe from @Amplifyormskirk stay safe whilst taking part in their expedition section. All did very well and just need to finish their other sections! #covidofe @DofENorth
