Dear Ugandans,

Please join me in raising our voices for the people of Karamoja. Share, repost, and tag those leaders as we call for long term solutions not just short term responses to this recurring hunger crisis.

19 people have already lost their lives to hunger and many more families continue to suffer.

With 9,419,610 kilograms of relief food being distributed to 313,987 households across 480 parishes, we appreciate the efforts being made to provide urgent support.

However, an important question remains: how much will each household actually receive, and how long will this assistance sustain families facing this crisis?

Karamoja deserves more than emergency aid. It needs long term investments in irrigation, water infrastructure, climate resilient agriculture, healthcare, education, and sustainable livelihoods so that families can withstand drought without depending on food relief year after year.

A policeman shot me in 2011. The bullet shattered my hand. The Federal High Court said they must pay for the reconstructive surgery.
