Iran is reviewing an invitation to join the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, Mehdi Rahimi, head of the Iranian Parliament’s official news agency, said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen.

Rahimi said Iran had received an invitation to join the agreement and was currently considering the proposal.

ریاستی موقف اور میڈیا کی خاموشی: دوسری جانب سرکاری اور عسکری ذرائع کا دعویٰ ہے کہ یہ اقدامات کالعدم تنظیموں اور دہشت گرد عناصر کے خلاف کی جانے والی مخصوص کارروائیاں ہیں، تاہم ناقدین کا کہنا ہے کہ میڈیا پر عائد پابندیوں کی وجہ سے سچ سامنے نہیں لایا جا رہا۔
خطے کے قوم پرست اور سیاسی رہنماؤں نے حکومت سے سویلین علاقوں پر بمباری فوراً بند کرنے اور تمام تنازعات کو انسانی بنیادوں پر حل کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔

پاکستان میں افغان مہاجرین کے ساتھ ریاستی اداروں اور پولیس کے ناروا سلوک اور تذلیل کا سلسلہ بدستور جاری ہے۔ سوشل میڈیا پر وائرل ہونے والی ویڈیوز میں دیکھا جا سکتا ہے کہ کس طرح افغان بہن بھائیوں اور بچوں کو گھسیٹ کر ان کی تذلیل کی جا رہی ہے، جو کہ انسانی حقوق کی سنگین پامالی ہے۔
مقامی ذرائع کے مطابق پاکستان کی نالائق فوج اور ادارے نہ صرف اسلام کی تعلیمات بلکہ اپنے ہی ملک کے آئین کو بھی پاؤں تلے روند رہے ہیں۔ اس اندمناک صورتحال کے باوجود پاکستانی میڈیا خاموش تماشائی بنا ہوا ہے اور فوج کے خوف کی وجہ سے سچ بولنے سے گریزاں ہے۔ یہ انتہائی شرم کا مقام ہے کہ ریاستی جبر کے اس ماحول میں مظلوم افغان مہاجرین پر ڈھائے جانے والے مظلومانہ حربے جاری ہیں۔
