AMUM will be closed for the 4th of July holiday starting July 3rd. We will reopen Monday, July 6th, for our regular hours of 9-5 p.m. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Come join the Institute of Egyptian Art and Archaeology for our annual Family Day, Saturday May 2nd at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis from 11am-2pm!

We'll have activities for everyone, from kids to adults and folks in-between.

Due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the museum will be closed Thursday, November 27, through Sunday, November 30th. Then, we will re-open on Monday, December 1st. We wish you all the best Thanksgiving holiday!

AMUM's next exhibition "Visual Arts of
Mexico will open Saturday, September 6th, with a
reception happening from 3-5 p.m. This exhibition
embraces the rich and diverse artistic traditions that
have emerged from Mexico, spanning from the
Pre-Columbian period to the modern day.

Electronic Music Showcase : A sonic journey through culture and history. Inspired by exhibitions at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis, these works blend heritage and innovation through electronic music, with four compositions and two installations by student creators.

The Museum wanted to inform you all that the Egyptian gallery will be closed tomorrow, April 18, for gallery photography throughout the day. The rest of the museum will still be open to the public.

Attention: The African Art & Crone Galleries will be closed due to major construction and renovation projects happening during the summer into the end of August. This construction will result in an expanded African Art Gallery that tells a more inclusive story.
