Dear Kenyans,

Here is the good news and bad news.

The good news is that we might be getting two public holidays within the next year.

The bad news is that the butcher of Tharaka Nithi, Kithure Kindiki - the same man who oversaw the slaughter of Gen Z protesters like cows in an abattoir in 2024 while serving as CS for Interior - could temporarily take the reins as Acting President.

I say “might” because his appointment was both unconstitutional and illegal, and there is still room for any Kenyan to challenge it in court.

Kenyans were in deep denial when Jomo Kenyatta was visibly sick - suffering from Alzheimer’s, losing his speech and memory, delivering incoherent ramblings.

Instead of preparing for a proper transition, they kept entertaining the old man with nonsensical “𝑁𝑦𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑦𝑢𝑎” dancers at Ichaweri, pretending everything was fine.

Don’t repeat that same mistake today. These signs are impossible to ignore.
