I just want to talk about books.

@kitrolecos @tenzindays I second the Tokyo Mew Mew recommendation

Debuting at TCAF at the end of the month is volume 2 of my DnD art book series! This is EXPERTISE, with art, short stories, comics, maps, and more!

[Liz Specht @LizSpecht]

I just fell prey to a scam that I now know is making the rounds (apparently someone shared ~exact same experience on TikTok). Got a call from my sister’s legit phone #, heard muffled crying in the background and a guy threatening to kill her if I didn’t send him $$$ immediately.

3: As I said, I love elves and tieflings, and my favorite classes are paladins and druids. Oath of the ancients tiefling paladin might be my favorite combo.

2: In grad school! An older grad student who's been playing since AD&D introduced me to 3.5 and it was love at first dice roll.

[Amy Smith @AmyESmith77]

1: Either an elf or tiefling. Probably an elf, honestly. I could maybe be a paladin irl. Or like, took a few levels in wizard before burning out and multiclassing into beast master Ranger, lol.

@D4_Adventures I hear Earrings of Flirting grant advantage on flirt checks

[Emmanuel Macron @EmmanuelMacron]

Today, a US journalist was killed in Ukraine. Before him, others have been targeted, murdered, injured or kidnapped. Our thoughts are with all those journalists driven by courage and an ideal: the freedom to inform. This freedom is fundamental to our democracies.

Please. Please end it. I don't care whether daylight savings or non-daylight savings becomes permanent, I just want the pointless clock changing to stop.

[Senator Patty Murray @PattyMurray]

I want this weekend to be the last time we change our clocks—and I have a bill to make #DaylightSavingTime permanent that I’m determined to get done. Let’s finally end this ridiculous and antiquated tradition.

Biden: "We're banning all imports of Russian oil and gas and energy. That means Russian oil will no longer be acceptable at U.S. ports and the American people will deal another powerful blow to Putin."

Kirby is loafing around!

[First Draft @firstdraftnews]

A large amount of mis- and disinformation has circulated on social media in multiple languages over the past few days regarding #Ukraine. Trustworthy information is as important as ever in times of crisis, so here are our top tips and tools 👇

[Isaac Saul @Ike_Saul]

1/ In an effort to highlight the costs of war besides casualties, I’m going to keep a thread on all the ways this invasion has cost Putin (& the Russian people) so far. Please RT/share & send me any additions you've seen in the news.

First up is obvious: Sanctions.

Photographed below, a man lifts his shirt to show the foot-long scar from selling his kidney; his son, brow furrowed, looks at his father’s face.

As extreme hunger tightens its grip on Afghanistan, parents are sacrificing their bodies to feed their young.

They’re not “destabilizing” Ukraine, they’re invading it. Killing innocent civilians. Bombing hospitals and residential buildings. Threatening nuclear war.

You’re a sitting member of Congress using your platform to shitpost about the president’s chief medical advisor.

WAKE UP

[Ukraine / Україна @Ukraine]

do not be afraid

to stand up to evil

no matter how powerful it seems

@von_todwin Now that I think about it, I've seen debates on r/dnd over whether or not you could, when falling, Dimension Door to the ground and avoid fall damage, which is basically the same question. Arcane physics, man.

[Amy Smith @AmyESmith77]

@von_todwin Crockett and Buddy were playing tug of war on the couch, and Crockett tried to back up. Fell very ungracefully to the floor. But he got the rope toy!
