ALL kids are good. They wake up every morning wanting to succeed. Some make bad choices or have difficulty or lagging skills, but they are not bad kids!

-have never experienced success, love or joy
-have not learned how to regulate their emotions

Kids need consequences, not punishments. Consequences hold students accountable for repairing harm, are logical, relate to the offense, and build empathy.

Punishments build fear or indifference & don't teach empathy.
